Our Research
Our Journey So Far…
We are proud that the Perception Profiling Assessment we have today is the result of nearly a decade of research. It started as a few simple questions asked on a paper questionnaire and since that time has grown through multiple rounds of testing and evaluation; we are on our fourth major revision of our database/dataset. In getting to the place we are now we have enlisted the following help and support…
Staff from three Universities, two in the UK and one in Australia, have had the job of making sure what we are doing is fundamentally sound from an academic/research perspective.
An independent linguist who specialises in the development of “unbiased” survey questions and statements, ensured that our statements were capable of being read by a 14 year old of average IQ and that no statement was more “weighted” to garner a response than any of the other statements used.
A neuroscientist with a PhD in the subject area helped us to understand the difference between the way the brain processes sensory information and the way it recalls that information later on after an event.
A statistician made sure that the results we receive aren’t artificially “skewed” towards any one filter because of the way we’ve set up the assessment.
We’ve also had the help of a number of test subjects including the Chairs and Members of various groups from the Academy for Chief Executives (Now part of Vistage International).
But, to be perfectly honest, none of that matters if you don’t recognise the people in the Perception Profiles we create for you and your team.
We believe that the best way to find out whether what we do will work for you is to try it out. Which is why we offer a NO QUIBBLE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE on all of our profiles. If you’re not 100% happy with what you receive then we’ll refund you. It’s as simple as that!
Where are we going from here?
As the quotation from Winston Churchill goes, “Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. but it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”
Here at Perceptus, we are more excited than ever at the prospect of how our assessment, training and tools can help people to have better, more meaningful dialogues. We want to help people to get better and better at discussing, agreeing and acting upon their ‘Best Common Truth’.
We are open to sharing our data-sets in an anonymised format with appropriate individuals and academic institutions. We would require you to have a valid interest in the continued research into perception and the way that we perceive the world around us. We usually do this in a ‘joint research’ capacity where we have input to the research project being undertaken along with joint ownership of findings and any results that are published.
